Privacy & Internet Security Policies


The privacy of the information the Securityplus FCU obtains about you is an important part of our relationship with you and each of our members. Your Credit Union has always been subject to our standard bylaw, Article XVI, § 2 which requires that we keep your transactions confidential. In addition, we disclose our information practices and procedures below.

Categories of Information We Collect
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
  • Information we receive from you on applications and other forms;
  • Information about transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency.
Categories of Information We Disclose
We may, as permitted by law, disclose the following kinds of nonpublic personal information about you:
  • Information we receive on applications and other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, income, debts and other obligations;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance(s), payment history, parties to transaction, and credit card use;
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as your credit history and credit worthiness.
We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties for their use in marketing products or services to you unless we have entered an agreement with them or they provide or assist us in providing a service to you or the Credit Union.

Information Disclosed to Service Providers/Joint Marketing
We may disclose the following information to companies that perform services on our behalf, e.g., to produce a monthly statement or mail a newsletter, or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements:
  • Information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, income, debts and other obligations;
  • Information about your transactions with us, or affiliates, or others, such as your account balance(s), payment history, parties to transaction, and credit card use;
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as your credit history and credit worthiness.
Confidentiality and Security
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees and service providers like a credit card processor who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. If we disclose nonpublic personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties in the course of providing a service or assisting us in providing a service to you, the third party may not reuse that information except as permitted by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
